Orchards vs online agent

Following our latest blog about whether you should use a high street agent or an online one, we thought we’d share an example of why you should opt for the former…

Early this August, a new landlord (let’s call him Lee) was onboarded onto our let-only service.

Before coming on with us, Lee was using a well-known online agent (let’s call them Closed Rentals).

Lee’s property had been listed with Closed Rentals for three weeks, with no luck letting it. The property had sat empty this whole period, losing Lee nearly a month of rental income so far.

We contacted Lee about his situation, explained our service and credentials, and put the property on the market on the 2nd August. His new tenant moved in on the 10th.

There were just seven days between listing and letting with Orchards, compared to four weeks of lost income already through Closed Rentals, with no end in sight.

And that’s not all… We also got Lee a higher monthly rent.

Now our fees may be more than Closed Rentals’, but taking all the numbers into account, Lee is getting a better, quicker deal with Orchards.
